Costs
While we won’t try to convince you that gliding is cheap, it need not be prohibitively expensive either.
You do not need to buy your own glider in order to train or fly at the Ulster Gliding Centre. A fleet of club gliders is available for members to use. Flying instruction to club members is free but you do have to pay for the launch costs and the rental costs of the glider. There is also an annual membership fee to pay but there are special reduced rates for certain groups.
